Home visiting can play a critical role in increasing preventive care by enhancing families’ understanding of the value of well care, mitigating barriers to access and attendance, reinforcing anticipatory guidance, and supporting caregiver self-efficacy to promote their child’s health and development. From January 2020 to March 2021, a dedicated group of MIECHV-funded state agencies (awardees) and local implementing agencies (LIAs), including parent leaders receiving home visiting services, explored and tested strategies that support families in completing their well-child visits. This brief outlines the journey of the Well-Child Visit CoIIN.
