Dr. Tandon’s research focuses on the prevention of mental disorders and promotion of positive mental health among vulnerable populations. He has conducted mental health research with perinatal populations, including studies aimed at preventing postpartum depression among women in home visitation programs. He also has considerable expertise in the science and practice of community-based participatory research (CBPR) and is the editor-in-chief of the only peer-reviewed journal solely focused on publishing CBPR: Progress in Community Health Partnerships: Research, Education, & Action. More recently, Dr. Tandon was named as co-chair of the Patient Centered Outcomes Research Institute's (PCORI) Patient Engagement Advisory Panel. He received his PhD in Psychology from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
